A second selection! I have this lovely concertina-page sketchbook, that folds out so you can keep on drawing as far as you want, but it can make me quite ambitious about getting a lot in. Here’s Montmarte, sketched from the top of the steps outside the Sacre Coeur church. If you look closely you can see the north African street sellerswith Eiffel Tower souveniers laid out on the floor.Far off, there’s the Centre Pompidou, Notre Dame, Montparnasse’s tower and various churches I could make out on the horizon.
Also, Place des Vosges in the Marais, Notre Dame again (the east end: the most fiddly set of flying buttresses I’ve ever tried) and finally Professor Binski and his brood of Cambridge Gothic students taking in the sculpture on the north side of Notre Dame.
