Culture Mouse visits the V&A

This picture is barely much bigger than it seems on screen, at just under 8×6 inches. I’ve done it deliberately small with a teeny 0.1 pen, to stop me taking too much time here cramming it all in! I came here to clear my head and lose myself in beautiful things, before emerging out of the corridors into this sunny courtyard, possibly one of my favourite spaces for stopping in the city. It’s always full of relaxed happy people sipping coffee in-between inspecting galleries, and children playing in the fountains and pond. It’s an intimate space with no traffic noise,  no sense of busy South Kensington beyond, no airplanes or buildings interrupting the skyline, a place to just be and sip coffee.
