I struggle with life drawing. It’s a combination of long poses and warm studio lights that slow me down and send me to sleep. Or failing that, too much time on a drawing makes me tighten up and makes a drawing stale. That and I really struggle with subtleties of tone in flesh. Whine whine. But these I’m rather pleased with, they’re done at a relatively fast pace, experimenting with new materials on primed paper such as coal, chinese ink, and marble dust.
